This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Chicago. The place is tiny, usually a line out the door, 95% of the patrons are Korean, waitresses are a little stand offish and hardly speak English, and the owner wears what looks like a lab coat while he looks around his restaurant, this is the spot!
No kalbi or bulgogi ordered in here if you know what's good for you. While those traditional korean dishes are tasty, one must try chadol-gui with the kim chi fried rice at the end...mmm
We made the mistake of ordering the "regulars" the first time and looked around to notice that no one else is eating or ordering the traditional dishes in the entire place and they are all Koreans, but they all were grubbing on the same thing. So, naturally I asked what is it that everyone else is eating and the rest is culinary history.
and of course the best person to go with for Korean Food
