Happy Birthday Steve McQueen!

I was introduced to Steve McQueen through my dad's love for classic cars.  My dad told me about this movie called Bullitt.   Along with Steve McQueen being the star, the movie featured a dark "Highland Green" 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 CID Fastback.  This vehicle drew me to the proclaimed "King of Cool" of the 1960's.  As my affinity to vintage fashion and fashion icons progressed, Steve McQueen's image and style continually come up in the conversation. From his Tag Heuer Monoco to the Persol glasses that he rocked, Steve McQueen's "look" became classic and continues to be inspiration for many fashion houses and look books.  Hopefully, one day I can drive around in that '68 Mustang!
If you don't know go see The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape, Bullitt, and Le Mans and get your learn on. This guys puts Brad Pitt to shame!

Happy Birthday Steve McQueen (March 24, 1930 – November 7, 1980)

Here's a few of my favorites...

First immortalized on Steve McQueen’s wrist in the 1970 racing film, Le Mans, the original Monaco, with its big, squared-off case and truly avant-garde Chronomatic Calibre 11—the first chronograph movement with an automatic micro-rotor mechanism—is a mythical icon of modern watchmaking history.
This time piece will be mine someday!!!
