Supreme x A.P.C.

As if Supreme needs more hype!!!

In 1987, Tunis native Jean Touitou created the French fashion label A.P.C. (Atelier de Production et de Creation). Over the years A.P.C. has distinguished itself as a prestigious clothier of fine apparel based on classic items and silhouettes.

The jean, a specially designed version of A.P.C.'s classic New Standard style, will feature a back pocket embroidery and a removable pin

Meet the Mets!

The New York Mets have not lived up to their expectations for the past 3 years. After chasing high profile players such as Johan Santana, Pedro Martinez, and K-Rod, the Mets have not done a damn thing to change their losing ways. But alas, I stay loyal to the teams I have cheer for season after season.

Before this lost season closes, I had a chance to visit the new Citi Field. The stadium is quite impressive. The food alone is a reason to go to the game. There is a tv in every corner so you don't miss any of the hapless Met's action.

We stood in line for a good 3 innings for the "Shack Burger" it was worth the wait. Shake Shack’s burger combining brisket with chuck and short rib, was the best part of the game!
You’ll have the option of ordering a single Shack burger ($5.75) or a double ($8.75). They even have a tribute to Chicago with the The Shack-ago dog ($5.75)..pun intended! The hot dogs are even Vienna beef with all the tradition Chicago Dog fix'ins.

The Mets lost...per usual...so on to the next season for this Met fan who is still remembering the '86 Mets and the Straw that stirred the drink

After the game we even saw Spider-Man playing the sax...haha

Done For The Season!!!

It appears that the leader of the Chicago Bears Defense has suffered a season ending wrist injury. The outlook for the 2009 season was looking good but after watching Cutler's performance and a rash of injuries, the Bears look just as bad as last year.
Everyone is telling me, "Well, it's only the first game!" Screw that!!! It was against the Packers and I loathe the Packers!!!
Well here's my anatomy lesson for the day so all of Bears' Nation can feel like they learned something from our beloved Urlacher's injury.

Proximal: A=Scaphoid, B=Lunate, C=Triquetral, D=Pisiform
Distal: E=Trapezium, F=Trapezoid, G=Capitate, H=Hamate

Here's a simple pneumonic used to help memorize these tiny bones - Now, go get your learn on!

Congrats #23 Michael Jeffery Jordan

Twenty-three from Daesun Hwang on Vimeo.

I can fondly remembering watching the Chicago Bulls in the playoffs against the Cleveland Cavs and seeing some guy named Michael Jordan tearing up a sorry defender named Ehlo. After that buzzer beater I quickly run to my dad to ask him to buy me a pair of Air Jordans. A few years and few AJ styles went by and after pestering my dad, he broke down and got me that coveted pair of Air Jordans. It was the Black and Red Air Jordan IV that got the "collection" started.
I think I wore these everywhere! Church, school, playground, and at home around the house. Since I needed to be "fly" all the time, I unfortunately wore my beloved Air Jordan IVs to mow the lawn of all things. Of course my naive mind was thinking, "Oh, it will be okay since I am on a riding mower." I was totally wrong! I basically added a dark hue of green to the once buttery suede that covered the sneaker. To make things worse, I tried to clean them off with water and a towel. And most people know, water and suede are not friends. So basically I totally ruined the kicks!!!
I frantically ran to my dad to explain to him the situation and the dire need of a new pair of AJ. He looked at me as if I were crazy and of course refused the request. But alas, 20 years later and the finances to fund my bad sneaker habit, I have a new pair of Air Jordan Black and Red IVs.
Thank you MJ for all the years of inspiration and contribution to my childhood!

Anatomy Lesson

Designer Angela Moramarco created this AnatoWii project, demonstrating what the anatomy of the Wii console might look like if it had internal organs, rather than hardware.

Consoles, in their own way, can become living, breathing members of our everyday life. Why shouldn’t they have their own anatomical charts?

STA MAGIC

STA x Stripper Pole in XS at Encore

Last week I made my annual visit and monetary deposit to Sin City, but this time it was with the STA fam. As usual, debauchery ensued, but this time around I joined the STA crew at the MAGIC Fashion Trade Show. It was quite an experience to meet the people behind the clothing and footwear brands that i willingly give my money...ha. Great people and a great experience. Meet some good people from HUF and the Kicks.HI crew from Guam and Hawaii.

I saw some really nice product by Opening Ceremony, Pendleton, 10 Deep, and Pubic School. The Nike meeting was a little disappointing but at least they provided free food...ha...thanks Phil Knight. I was not sure if I was allowed to take pics of product that was coming for Spring/Summer 2010 so I will let the other fashionista blogs do that for me.

Needless to say, I had a great time and it was good to see and hang with the STA fam again. See you all again soon!
